October marks the start of Rotary Rink Mates, a skating program run and sponsored by Rotarians, A fun hour of skating for youth and adults with developmental disabilities; accompanied by their support workers, if necessary. We don't turn anyone away as the program is for young and old alike. Bussing provided to eligible local schools with skating aids and push sleighs available. We also have many participants from Ingersoll Support Services Inc., and others who just come out to enjoy the day. We typically have 50-60 skaters every week and on the last Friday before Christmas we have a special visitor from the north pole where every participant receives a present.
