As President of the Ingersoll Rotary Club for 2025–2026, I’m honoured to welcome another impactful year of service, fellowship, and purpose. This year’s Rotary International theme, Unite for Good, resonates deeply with the heart of our club. Whether it’s supporting youth programs, addressing food insecurity, or uplifting those facing hardship, we believe in the power of coming together to create lasting change right here in our community.
One of our proudest accomplishments this year is the opening of the Ingersoll Rotary Charitable Warehouse, with its grand opening on July 22nd. This facility will be home to The FOOD Project, a collaborative initiative aimed at fighting food insecurity in our town. By providing this space, our club is ensuring that vital food services have a permanent, centralized hub to grow and serve more people. In the years ahead, we’ll continue to support The FOOD Project and its partner charities as they deliver hope, nourishment, and dignity to those who need it most.
We’re also excited to continue a full calendar of fundraisers and community events that bring our mission to life. Our Mark Warnick Memorial Golf Tournament in September, Rotary Roses in November, and the ongoing R&R Lottery help raise vital funds for our many initiatives. At the same time, we remain committed to programs that bring families and neighbours together. Our Rotary Rink Mates program will return this winter, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt in the spring and the always-popular Lawrence Beckett Kid’s Fishing Day in May. And of course, we’ll once again help kick off the holiday season with the Ingersoll Santa Claus Parade - a cherished tradition for the entire town to enjoy.
It’s shaping up to be a vibrant and meaningful year of Rotary service.
Yours in Rotary,
Jon Pettit
